GOALS-WORTHY TRADITION: Members and staff of the Guysborough Options for Adaptive Living Society (GOALS) popped in for songs, games and gifts from Santa at the Canso Lions Club Nov. 26. The Lions’ annual Christmas party has been a tradition for 30 years and, for many in the area, marks the official start of the festive season. Community First to select housing projects

GUYSBOROUGH COUNTY — Barely 21 months after holding its first meeting, Guysborough County’s first and only grassroots housing association says it’s moving into the most significant phase of its work to date, including prioritizing new projects for development.
